"No snowflake ever falls on the wrong place." This zen philosophy is reflected in my paintings. My artistic inspiration comes from the beauties and lessons of nature and painting continues to be a way to express my emotions. When my feelings flow on the canvas, there is no right or wrong.
While exploring many different media, I found the most success with acrylics and inks on canvas, rice paper or watercolor paper. I also enjoy experimenting with elements of glass, metal and other materials in my collages. Abstract fluid painting illuminates my heart, and my goal is to convey this glow on the picture through color.
My work has been shown in many selected exhibitions in the U.S. including Sumner Museum in Washington, DC, San Bernardino County Museum, CA, and Berman Museum, PA. Additionally, my paintings were presented in one-woman shows in Germany.
I was born in Bavaria, Germany. From early childhood I have had a passion for art. Early successes in school competitions encouraged me to explore different media. After moving to the U.S. in 1998, I studied art at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center and at the California Art Institute. Over the years, I've taken workshops with Maxine Masterfield, Gwen Fox and Robert Burridge.
