Vicky T. Hunt is the creative, redheaded, marine cephalopod-lover behind the Ginga Squid Studio.

In previous lives I have also been an engineer, chartered accountant, scuba diving instructor and most recently, a mother.

My early inspiration - for my oil paintings, came from the surreal and heavenly work of Joan Miro and the fluid and organic forms of Graham Sutherland. Since also discovering a passion for scuba diving, I have tried to combine my artworks with my love of the underwater world, its colours and its weird and wonderful inhabitants.

I'm also having fun with fiber! I love how the soft warm fibers contrast with the hard metals and unyielding stone textures in my pieces.
