About

I'm a recovering archaeologist who finally decided to hang up the shovel and trowel. It's been my first love since I was a wee lass growing up in Oklahoma when I used to sit in my great grandmother's driveway on her farm and dig up buttons and coins. I think it might be the thrill of the hunt that I'm addicted to. That's why digging through dusty old boxes for vintage treasures fits right in to my 'disease'. And what's even more fulfilling is getting the opportunity to share all the pretties with fellow vintage lovers. And what a thrill to unearth something that a particular customer might be looking for! I keep a running list of specific items that folks collect and I always keep an eye out for hidden treasures, just for them. If you too have a particular something that you just can't live without, then by all means, send me a convo and I'll be happy to add your heart's desire to my list.

In the mean time, spend some time poking around my little Etsy shop. As I've discovered over these first few years, vintage hankies are still just as popular as they were when I did antique shows many years ago. They are an inexpensive and fun little item to collect. So many pretty designs! And with the movement towards using less of the throw-away stuff in life, hankies make a great addition to a green lifestyle. That's why I've decided to focus on them here in the shop. Here you'll find a little bit of everything. Some beautiful hand embroidery, some signed designer hankies, some fun and funky geometrics, and of course, the many, many beautiful florals. The shop is arranged by style of hanky, so you can immediately go straight to whichever is calling your name. I've done all the digging for you, all you have to do is pick and click. Your hanky will arrive all spiffy clean and ready for a night on the town. And it will be carefully folded and placed in a little plastic sleeve to protect it on its journey to its new home. Isn't it fun to wonder about a hanky's previous life? Where did it come from? Who gave it to whom? Are there traces of happy tears or sad tears?

Many thanks for checking out my shop. Follow me on Pinterest, where I have a board specifically devoted to vintage hankies. Lots of neat ideas out there! Enjoy........
