About

My name is Allie and I am hooked on glass. That bug bit me about a decade ago when I started on stained glass classes in a local glass shop. About 5 years later I was introduced to the art of lampworking. That is melting glass rods in a flame and winding them around a metal rod or mandrel to form a bead! I simply love to create new things and keep trying new things. I have to put blinders on when it comes to trying new crafts involving anything but glass. After all one can only focus on one obsession at a time. Mine is glass, hence the name,Glass Allie.
I live in the northwest corner of Washington state in the woods with one husband, two dogs and a cat named Bob. My day job is a school bus driver which means early to bead oops I mean bed,and early to rise. It also gives me the opportunity to be home most days with my critters and create fun and beautiful things in my home studio.
