Gloria Casillas' Profile

About

I was born in Guanajuato Mexico and moved to the United States at the age of eight. I am a DREAMer, a mother to a crazy little monkey named Raeana, a wife to an extremely talented husband, and I am a proud member of the artist collective The Phoenix Fridas.

I learned the basics of jewelry making when I took a jewelry and fiber arts class in high school and I have been creating ever since.

Much of my work is inspired by my Mexican culture and I love to use bright, eye catching colors. My favorite material to use are seed beads! They are tiny and difficult to work with but I love the challenge.
