So what brought me here? A little bit of luck, a smidgeon of fate and a whole lot of late nights :o) In a box full of treasure that my Nan gave to me I found a pair of jewellery pliers. I put them away at the time, not knowing what they were but thinking they might be useful in the future (I'm a hoarder!) Years down the line I bought a charm bracelet and thought 'I'd like to try making these'…so I dug out my Nan's pliers and taught myself from looking at items I already had.
I'm inspired by the gorgeous Dorset countryside, where I live in a quaint 16th century thatched cottage. She's a drama queen and likes to fall apart in a minor way on a regular basis, despite being solid and dependable really. I live with my husband, four daughters (who are home educated/homeschooled), and our cats, rabbits, and chickens. How could I fail to be inspired by the Thomas Hardy country all around me? I also love folk tales, fairies (which are real, I've seen one), the changes to my garden through the seasons, nature in general and my dreams. Sometimes I dream of a design and have to jot it down when I wake so that I don't forget it.
I love to take on commission work, and have a large stash of beads and charms to sift through to find just the right thing for you. Nearly all of my pieces can be customised to suit you, be it colour, change of length or charms. Convo me if you want to discuss it :o)
