I've always been creative, and I love exploring all kinds of mediums! I think it's fascinating how much you can learn about one medium by having worked in another.

When I first started working in fused glass, it didn't take long before I started playing with ways to make it unique. I didn't want my glass pieces to look like anything else out there, and soon started playing with 22k gold. My first attempt was pretty crude, and painting it onto the glass was a challenge, but I saw immediate potential!

Painting the gold is just the last step. It's a long process, but it's worth it. Good things should take time. Too much is just thrown together so fast these days.

I'll still be exploring other mediums, but I'm not leaving glass anytime soon. There's something about starting with glass sheets and finishing with something so different that is just so satisfying! Still, that doesn't begin to compare with when someone falls in love with a piece that you have put so much of yourself into. That's when it comes full circle. That's what it's all about!
