HI, Welcome to my Gourdgeous Garden

I am a product of my upbringing. My Grandmother, a talented crafter, believed "necessity was the mother of invention". She didn't know she was an artist. My Grandfather was an innovative Organic Gardner. He believed his garden was art.

My husband and I live on a farm. We have always had a large vegetable garden. First flowers then gourds became my reward for the hard work that a garden can be.

About 20 years ago, after all the nooks and crannies in the house were full of finished gourds; we began selling Art Gourds on consignment, and then at juried shows. Over the years we have meet so many wonderful people. We truly had fun, and enjoyed selling my creations.

About

For me, My Gourdgeous Garden is inspirational, and I encourage others to feel the same. Each and every gourd provides new inspiration for another art project. Gourds are my canvas. Some gourds turn out kooky some are a real work of art. During the winter months I spend a lot of time developing new designs and experimenting with new materials to use on the gourds.

I enjoy sharing information. If you are curious about how to recognize different types of gourds, how and when to plant, how to dry and how to get them art ready. I have a booklet, “Gourds –From Seed to Art”. The booklet will soon be available digitally on Etsy.

I believe that the client should be happy with the results of their order. Satisfaction is always guaranteed.

I would welcome the opportunity to deliver a unique art gourd to you. One that you would be pleased to keep, or give as a gift.

Due to my husband’s health, we are no longer able to travel to craft shows. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the many customers, repeat customers and their referrals. My hope is that many of these friends will find me on Etsy.
