About

Hello! My name is Darlene and I am from a small town just outside of Charlotte, NC. I am a wife, mother of two, and I have seven darling grandbabies!

The idea for the Grace Relief Pillow came when a friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have seen the effects of this disease, and I felt the Lord show me the idea of making this pillow to relieve some of the pain caused by the numerous surgeries that occur while having breast cancer.

You see, I have been around this disease for a large portion of my life. My mother Grace, whom the pillow is named for, was diagnosed in 92' with breast cancer. Later it went into remission but then came back in 03'. She passed away from the disease in 04' while her sister was also fighting the same cancer, that she had been diagnosed with back in 92'. My aunt also had to fight a long and painful…

About

My aunt also had to fight a long and painful battle, but she is now in remission.

One of the things I noticed about each, is the pain that they would have under their arms. My mother had her lymph nodes removed and my aunt had a radical masectomy. Both used small pillows under their arms to help relieve the pressure that is caused by the arm laying against the site of the surgery. The only problem is that the available pillows are too small, and are hard to keep under the arm. This is where the Grace Relief Pillow comes into play!

The pillow is made to cradle your arm to help take the pressure off a painful area. It can be tied on the shoulder to insure a perfect fit! They come in an array of designs and can be custom fitted to be smaller or larger if you prefer. Even as children with their favorite blanket, when we go through difficult times, we are in need of some kind of comfort. When it's physically painful, it's hard to help carry that burden for others, but this pillow is a small way to comfort someone who truly needs it.

You will see that each pillow comes with a tag that says "In memory of Grace and Twila". Grace was my mother and Twila my mother-in-law. Twila also passed from cancer in 04', right after my mother. Although a different cancer completely, the comfort factor was still the same.

*NOTE* I am not a physician. This pillow has not been medically tested and I do not claim it to be a medical device.
