ABOUT THE DESIGNER- Kim Morgan

My artistic career began later in life with expressionist landscape paintings followed by designing dinnerware for some of the most notable tabletop companies in the industry. Finding inspiration for my elegant-casual designs through gardens and love of nature; I have been fortunate to have been featured in such magazines as Southern Lady and Better Homes & Gardens: Decorating Issue.

Blessed with rich creative experiences combined by my passion for flowers, fabrics and painting; has lead to my desire to create Prêt-a-Porte and Bespoke millinery for brides and fashionistas. As founder & creator of Grace Dunbar; I spend countless hours, arduously creating all designs and silk flowers by hand, a-petal-at-a-time.

When I am not spending time working on Grace Dunbar, you can find me at my other Etsy shop “The Blooming South” designing wedding ring pillows, flower girl baskets and other accessories.

Meredith, my daughter who is a talented freelance floral designer for some of Charleston’s most notable wedding planners; loves to come to my studio late at night to gather my handmade blooms, arranging them into the most spectacular bouquets. Her designs are a wonderful source of inspiration for my work.

ABOUT THE NAME- Grace Dunbar

The “Dunbar” sisters were my creative & loving grandmother “Helen” and her sister “Gertrude”, my great aunt who was a painter, always dressing in kitten heels and feather hats.

“Grace” is to ever remind us of Gods good favor and blessings; the word “Grace” came to both Meredith & I over the course of three days, unbeknown to each other.
