About

I have been blessed with a vibrant muse. From an early age I've been enchanted by fabrics and fibers. The items you see here are the product of a lifetime of play, exploration, study, and practice.
Most of my items are one-of-a-kind. All seams are securely sewn and items built to last. Be assured that my priorities are durability, comfort, and beauty

Many of my fabrics are repurposed from existing garments.Due to their unique origins, slight irregularities may appear in the fabric or stitching. These in no way affect the quality of the item, and indeed, are part of the design, letting you know that the items are carefully crafted by hand, one at a time, not mass-produced.

I consider materials to be "upcycled" or "repurposed" if they have been diverted from the waste stream or are being remade from something else. I commonly use fabric from wool sweaters and other clothing I've found in thrift stores or been given by friends. Most of my thread, buttons, and snaps are also from 2nd-hand stores, estate sales, or friends. I do buy new zippers for my clothing.

I consider my collection of fabrics (new and 2nd hand) to be my palette. As I design a piece, I know the combination is right when the colors "sing" to me.

Using repurposed materials allows me the freedom to explore many design ideas, while keeping my prices low for customers. I get bored if I make too many of the same thing, therefor, many of the items you see in my shop are of limited edition. Once they are gone, they may not re-appear!

Using recycled materials keeps things interesting, as I figure out how to create beautiful and functional one-of-a-kind items from cast-offs.

It is my pleasure to provide comfy, creative goodness for people.
