About

"Hannah Harkenfarker" (aka Melany Giordani) is a character that appeared when I turned 50.I was to "entertain" my friends, family and co-workers at a party in my honor and knew I couldn't pull it off with a straight face. So..."Hannah" first appeared as a cleaning lady (domestic Goddess)with a high-pitched, nasally voice who sang and told stories for over 2 hours. Since then, "Hannah" has gone on to write stories of her (factitious) travels for a calendar, publish recipe and note cards, appear at events and as a guest speaker at conferences and is now painting.
As Melany (aka "Hannah") I live in the country in the town of Maine, NY in the area's first Earth-sheltered house. I live with my husband (of 32 years), my sister (of 55 years) and my Golden Retriever - Charlie.

I was looking for a something to do from my home that would allow me to tap into my creative side(a side of me that I did not get to use much in the world of corporate management I left behind)and enable me to give back to my community.
Re-purposing wine bottles from a local restaurant owner enables me to keep material costs low and saves a little of the environment.
Giving a percentage of the profits from my "projects" to charity enables me to support two of the many causes near and dear to my heart - hunger and caring for our animal friends.
I hope you enjoy your purchase as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Thank you...."Hannah"/Melany
