A little about me~
I was a Math and Econ major at Syracuse University, but have always loved art. I have always been interested in Japanese culture and learned enough Japanese to get by when I visited Japan out of college. I stayed for 15 days with a family and traveled all around Tokyo, Chiba, and ventured out to Niigata. I picked up a lot of books and even learned to crochet from a Japanese book.

My shop focus is making tsumami kanzashi. I do a lot of folding! I have been doing origami since I was very young. My first origami books I had were by Tomoko Fuse and an airplane book. I love working in color and also love working on custom orders!

My hobbies include knitting, which I learned from my grandmother, crochet, and spinning yarn. I just love getting raw wool and turning it into something! I also enjoy playing video games when I get time.

I am running an Etsy shop for my mom that features vintage collectables and antiques here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/HickoryValley

and I also run a paper shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/HanamiPaper
