About

Creating things is one of my passions. Ever since I was a little girl, I was fascinated with drawing pictures and arts & crafts. I started off with floral arrangements when I decided to make my own home decor when we first bought our house in TX in 2001 and decorated it myself. People who then visited our house had asked who my interior designer was or if my house was a model home (which was not since it was just a spec home). It was always a pleasure for me to see their jaws drop when I tell them it's all me! They can't believe their eyes and thought at first I was kidding. It was a very nice compliment for me, I thought. Then, I found myself exploring jewelry-making in 2005 with my daughter who was then 9 years old. It started off as a "just for fun" project that I thought I'd do with her and ended up liking what we created. Since then, I started going to crafts shows to sell my handcrafted jewelries - and believe me, I cut off everyone else in those shows - why, because I can afford to sell my items at a much lower price than everyone else there - for instance, 0.99 cents earrings. You should see the evil stares those vendors were giving me :)! Then in 2008, I had gotten tired of buying commercial candles & finding myself frustrated when half-way done, the scent is gone. That is when I decided to start making my own candles - and not just candles, but handcrafted candles that will give off fragrance even to the very last drop of wax you burn. Handmade soaps followed after that. I still go to craft shows to sell my hand crafted creations - fashion jewelries, candles, soaps and silk flower arrangements - and still have fun doing it.

This really is just my hobby since I do have a full-time job. However, creating makes me express my inner self, a sense of accomplishment within, freeing up my creativity. Every time I make a sale, whether it's a $0.99 cents item to hundred of dollars, I have this over-powering feeling of pride that is priceless. I still remember the feeling I got when I made my very first sale at a church craft show for $8.99: "Oh my gosh, somebody actually liked my creation!" That was one of the most wonderful feelings for me. I take pride of my creations so if you are not happy, just let me know. We'll make it right!
