About

I've always enjoyed making things. As a former puppetry artist I enjoyed many moments of sheer bliss creating my own sets, props, and puppets. I also love discovering new materials, so when I discovered beautiful Hanji (Korean handmade paper) during my recent 2 year teaching stint in S. Korea, I decided to study with as many teachers as I could while there. Made from the paper Mulbery tree indigenous to S. Korea, it is extraordinary to work with. So now I make lamps instead of puppets; but I have always tried to be a light bearer, even as a puppeteer!!
