Handmade Jewelry By HeadpinWear on Etsy

Hi and Welcome!
My name is Cathy, and I am the jewelry designer here at HeadpinWear.
Here is my short story, well I hope its short, yet long enough to know me a bit better!

A few years ago, I was finally at my point where I could devote time to something I was passionate about.
My husband suggested I make jewelry (I think he would have thought twice if he knew how I would be today).
I had no idea where to begin, or how much money and time I would need to invest, but I really wanted to look into this.
So, a few weekends later we took a motorcycle ride to a Bead Store in Sacramento, Ca.

That's when I became addicted to beads. Fortunately, I had blindly, picked a very cool store, with fabulous customer service! Had it been any different, I may not be here. But, once I saw ALL the possibilities, it was all over, I was taken in.

At first I dabbled with silver and gold plated findings and components. After some time though I saw how these metals would change in color, and that was not something I wanted to wear, or especially, sell to anyone. Back then I was selling to my co-workers.

So, I changed my standards of metal and began purchasing Gold-fill, Sterling Silver and Fine Sterling Silver Wire, and Ear Wires. These are the metals I mostly use today.
I want my piece to look as good as the first day you received it, even if its many years later.
Occasionally, I will use Pewter, but it's not very often.

I am not a complicated designer. In fact, you'll find my designs are quite simplistic.
My belief is that: Jewelry is an accessory. It is not meant to be center stage or steal the show. Jewelry is meant to enhance your being, inside and out, and complete your sense of style. It is the cherry on top of your sundae"!
And although my jewelry designs are simplistic, everything I create, from beginning to end, is meticulously made, with great thought and care!
I will never compromise my perfectionism, nor do I intend too.

I am also a huge supporter here, to other Etsy sellers as well!
My budget and credit card can vouch for that! But so can my feedback :)
Most of the materials I use and have used to design my jewelry pieces were purchased right here on Etsy.
So, when you purchase from me, you will also be supporting another shop here as well. 99% of the time, I put most of this money right back here :)
I just cannot resist beautiful beads.

I wish I could say I keep up with trends, and color choices, but I don't.
Each piece you see in my shop came to me of my own creativity, not from someone else's design, or from a book.
Some days I think I need a book though :)

I try and do my part here as well.
I am a member of the Handmadeology Team, The Christian Artists Promoting Shops Team, Etsy Site Team, Etsy Blog Team, Etsy Promotion Society, and the On Fire for Handmade.

If there is something particular you like in my shop, but would like additional materials added, we can surely discuss that!
If you have a design in mind and want it to become wearable, lets talk. I am always open to new ideas, and others input. I would actually be honored as well as flattered if you choose me. And you can always count on honesty as well.
Please feel free to convo me with any questions, or requests, and I will respond just as quick as I can!
I do have a job outside of my home. It used to be full time, but due to the economy, and natural disasters, I find myself home more now, then at work.
If I do not answer your convo within a few hours, it is because I am at work that day. My employment hours are from 7am-3:30 pm, and it just takes me a few minutes to drive home, so I can reply around 4pm PST

Thanks for reading, and may your day be filled with God's grace, mercy, and love.

Blessings,
Cathy
