About

I am a long time knitter, spinner, beginning weaver, and admirer of all things fiber. I am learning more about different fibers, and especially love the wool fibers. I am studying natural dyeing, and hope to get better at doing all of these fiber skills.

We have three wonderful daughters, and three wonderful son in laws, ( one sil to be) and we have, in the past, worked for a long time together on the Spinners, Weavers and Knitters housecleaning pages, www.kbbspin.org.

When we created the Housecleaning pages, we did it to help other fiber enthusiasts sell and buy used fiber equipment. I like to study the Heritage Fleece breeds, and I want to support fiber farmers to preserve the many different kinds of animals who produce such a wide variety of wonderful fleece for us hand spinners and weavers to work with. What you see here is the overflow of my own stash, as I buy fleece, carefully wash it, and spin it for knitting projects here in my Vermont home.

I live with my wonderful husband Jamie, (engineer, physicist, master gardener, and origami specialist, )of 36 years, in northern Vermont, and we are both knitting fools, sharing our home with our dog, Scout (King Charles Cavalier spaniel) and Mumsy and Fred, the Siamese troublemakers. We are both newly retired, we love GRANDCHILREN.
