About

I feel incredibly lucky to live in a restored stone building in the rural highlands of central Mexico with my dogs, cat, and 2 sheep for companions. My ranch is about a 40 minute drive from the historic colonial city of San Miguel de Allende. I'm originally from the Pacific Northwest, so the clear blue skies and wide open vistas here delight me. There is not much more than the sounds of birdsong, baaahing sheep, and the occasional braying donkey.

For me, its the perfect environment for knitting and meditating, a place with very few distractions. I've always had a hand in some type of art or craft -- painting, drawing, sewing, knitting, spinning, woodworking, beading, leatherwork, fabric dying, papermaking, bookbinding . . . . Now I'm devoted to designing and creating the kind of knitwear I'd love to wear myself, if only I had the leisure time to knit just for myself! It brings me pleasure to work with soft, sensuous yarns, and to imagine the pleasure felt by someone wearing one of my creations.

I also sell my work at a local gallery and the occasional trunk show. If you notice an item has suddenly disappeared, it is because I sold it locally, off-line.
