Shinya was born in Chiba, Japan. When he was eight years old his family moved to Pakistan, exposing him to the exotic landscapes and cultures that surround the diverse area. He was forced to learn English and Urdu, only to learn his father's job was now taking them to Jakarta, Indonesia. While in Indonesia, he went to local orphanages to spend time with children and teach arts and crafts. Shinya moved to the United States in 1995 to pursue music. His exposures to many European countries during his childhood has cultivated his interests in the area of classical music and art.

Shinya studied at Manhattan School of Music and Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and graduated with honors. He has made appearances at such prestigious venues as the Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, before contributing his services in assisting music outreach programs for local schools. He then made the transition into the arts, using his love for energy conservation and his inherent creativity. He is a proud father of two children whom also trained him to be an accomplished chef. It is Shinya's wish to pass on his love for life and his passion for the pursuit of mastering all art forms to all those that follow him.

His work is on permanent display at Fresh in the Box at 13354 Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90066.
