About

I used to be a full-time student, in the honor's program, going through a liberal arts degree program for an associate's degree. I eventually wanted to become a writer/teacher of English at a community college level. I wanted a doctorate, which I knew would take a while to complete.

However, my life had other plans for me.

One semester, I started having problems learning and concentrating. Then I would get anxiety, which led to panic attacks. Because of this, I was having problems driving, going to class, and being... well, functional. Although I had disdain towards the idea of having to quit college, If I were to save my GPA for my honor's program, I had to quit, Soon after, I started getting treatment for my panic disorder.

In the meantime, while I was seeking treatment, I felt like I was being non-functional... a burden, so I turned to one thing I knew that would make me feel like I wasn't wasting my time; the arts.

Now, over two years later, I am still struggling to find something to help control my panic disorder. However, during this time, I got to know myself, which I assumed I did before this started happening. I found that I have a deep-seeded love for the arts. Painting, drawing, knitting, crocheting, duct tape arts, paper arts; anything I could pick up and be creative with was the ticket.

This is why I have my store. I started creating so many items that I didn't have a place for them. And then a wonderful Etsy seller that I know and love gave me the idea to start a store. The idea of making a few bucks on the side was nice and it also gave me a place to give good homes to some of the things I created and loved over time. A lot of what is on my store are things that I made because I enjoyed making it and all I want to do is share the love, passion, and dedication to what I make.

As I write this, I am still disabled, but living and thriving with my disability. And art has had an extremely positive effect on my transformation to who I am now. However, my life has taken towards a different direction; towards the arts. I have been able to go back to college part-time and even though it is hard, it is worth it. I now want to take the direction of becoming an artist and a teacher of the arts. Without my years of trials and tribulations, I would not be here now and I would not be more sure of what I'm meant to do with my life; create.

Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.
