My mother is the vintage and bargain queen. As a little girl, I was raised to appreciate the older and cheaper things in life. I vividly remember weekly trips to garage sales, and of course, no family vacation was complete without stopping at every antique shop and flea market along the way. I didn’t understand the satisfaction and gratification that came from my mother’s passion until I was older.
I am currently working as a fourth grade math and science teacher in Shreveport, Louisiana. I have to say that the past two years of teaching have been two of the most difficult years of my life. Through this, I am learning that life will be wasted without a passion. You have to find something that you are passionate about whether it is as big as life, or as small as vintage.
