Meredith Bradley's Profile

About

Hey y'all. My name is Meredith and I love to make things. I have been sewing for as long as I can remember. My earliest sewing memories are of me sitting underneath my grandmother's sewing table next to her "waste basket". I waited eagerly as she dropped all of her cloth scraps into that old metal can. I never could understand how she could just throw away all those treasures. To me it was like little bits of heaven just raining down from above. I thought that surely she must not have known what she had. I took those little tiny pieces of cloth and always made something - anything.

As an adult I sew for my child and for others. I still enjoy making things out of other's discards. I thoroughly enjoy repurposing all sorts of fabrics and notions, including old clothes, blankets, table linens, ripped out zippers, upholstery samples, mismatched buttons, and whatever else I can get my hands…

About

I thoroughly enjoy repurposing all sorts of fabrics and notions, including old clothes, blankets, table linens, ripped out zippers, upholstery samples, mismatched buttons, and whatever else I can get my hands on.

I make things because I love working with my hands. My projects depend on the materials I have available. I love to use repurposed fabric. That means my son's old corduroys with a hole in the knee might become a bear. Or the lining out of the old suit coat I used to make my purse might become a flower pin to wear. Even the tiniest scraps get repurposed into something beautiful... or at least useful.
