MY TRUE PHOTO JEWELRY STORY!!!!

On April 8th, of 2004, the most wonderful man passed away as a result of diabetes-related issues! That man was my Father! The man who I had inherited so much from . . . his goofy sense of humor, his ability to love with no boundaries, his quirky-shaped mouth and his love and undying devotion to family and friends. I felt like I had lost a piece of my soul!

While searching for comfort, anything at all, I decided to make a memorial bracelet to memorialize my father, a way to keep him near me. I designed the first "In Memory Of" bracelet. I found the grey ribbon with the red dot charm, which symbolizes diabetes awareness, and was still looking for something else to make it "In Memory Of" HIM! That is when I found the frame charm! That was the birth of the true "IN MEMORY OF" memorial bracelet!…

That was the birth of the true "IN MEMORY OF" memorial bracelet!

As I started wearing my bracelet, people would ask where I got it because they had just lost someone close to them! Once I explained that I had made it, I was then asked to make one for Breast Cancer because that is how their sister died. This went on for weeks, with each request being for a different cause of death! I decided that the ultimate memorial statement in honor of my Father was to make these bracelets available to all who are greiving a lost loved one! So . . . . in July of 2004, "IN MEMORY OF Handcrafted Memorial Jewelry" was born. I like to say that my Dad is my "silent" partner in this venture! That would make him laugh!

To date, thousands of these bracelets have been sold and I know my Father would be proud that I am helping other grieving family members to memorialize their lost loved ones, as I did when I lost him. In the true giving nature of my Father's spirit that I have inherited, a portion of all proceeds will go to the causes that are represented in the bracelets that are sold.

Since then, I have added a full line of Photo Jewelry, some where the customer adds the photo, as in the IN MEMORY OF bracelets, and many with the photo sealed in a charm frame with clear gloss epoxy!

Thank you for allowing me this trip down memory lane!

IN MEMORY OF my Father!
