Faylin Myhre's Profile

About

My grandmothers used what was available to them to make the things their family would need. Fe Wool and fabric scraps to make quilts. Feed sacks were used for curtains, clothing and more. Old clothing cut into strips and woven into rugs. They knit warm wool mittens and crocheted beautiful delicate doilies and did embroidery. I was blessed to spend time with them and to pick up some of their artful, creative ways. I love to reuse, recycle and upcycle. I like to use new materials too. I have grandmas union 36 floor loom and i weave rugs just like she did. I like to crochet, play with paper, photography, beads and more.
