About

Hi, thank you for visiting my shop! I'm very excited to be listing my jewelry here on Etsy!

I've always had an interest in jewelry. From the time I was small, I pulled apart jewelry and put it back together.

As I went through college and beyond, I would search flea markets, yard sales, antiques fairs and shops for vintage jewelry, beads, fabrics and anything that caught my fancy. I'm attracted to textures and colors. I enjoy sewing, which my mother taught me, and from there I taught myself quilting. I love to embellish my quilts with embroidery and beadwork.

Then I discovered I could make jewelry!

As I was raising my now teenage children, I managed to find the time, with a supportive husband, to teach myself to make and sell beaded jewelry. We live in an home built in the 1870's with a carriage house. The space was open upstairs and I made myself a work area. It only made sense to call my budding business "Carriage House Creations". I've participated in juried craft shows, made custom items for customers and friends, made many teachers gifts and have sold my jewelry on consignment. I've enjoyed learning wire working techniques and working with different materials. Currently, I'm working on copper enameling, which has endless possibilties!

I'm inspired by colors and textures and movements I find in things around me. I like to surround myself with antique, vintage and unusual items. I also find impiration in the many beautiful areas of the Finger Lakes in Central NYS.

I really enjoy working to create something unique with a customer that they really love! Look around and let me know what you think!
