About

Hi, we are Jeff & Kim Westphal from Casey, Iowa. Our business is called Westphal IronWorks LLC. IowaMetalArt is our store here on Etsy. We have been in business since 2006.

Along with the metal working, we farm around 175 acres of corn and soybeans. We both do the design work on our products. Jeff runs the burn table most of the time, but Kim has helped out. both of us do the air brushing and copper patina pieces. Jeff does the powder coating. Kim does the packaging and shipping and takes care of the administrative side of the business. We do area Art & Craft shows in the spring and the fall, averaging 15-20 shows a year. We shown and sold our products at the Iowa State Fair since 2010.

We both grew up on farms. We have been married for over 30 years and counting, with three grown children ( and a couple of young grandchildren). Jeff's interest in metal started in the mid 1970's while he was in Jr. High cutting scrap iron left on a farm his dad bought. That sparked his interest in welding and metal working. Jeff worked in a couple of factories for about 10 years as a welder and we ventured out on our own (with God's leading and blessing) doing custom fabricating work in 2006. We bought a used CNC Plasma table in 2010 and 2012 we built our new 60' x 100' shop.

Kim grew up doing arts & crafts. Her mother taught her to sew, knit, embroidery and cross stitching crafts. Jeff's mother taught her how to crochet. Kim had many items in the local county fiar during her 4H years. Kim has made many gifts through the years for her family and friends.

We enjoy working with metal, and have a welding/fabrication shop near Casey, Iowa. We have a CNC plasma cutter and can make just about anything you can think of in metal.

Westphal IronWorks is a one man show, so you will always deal directly with me, the owner.

I do custom fabrication and plasma cutting, along with various metal art, including welcome signs and more.
