About

I first came to the Etsy community as a buyer when I was looking for unique handmade items to give to my bridesmaids. I found such cool things and thought it was such a great community, that I decided to open my own shop, offering mostly hand knitted items, but also some crocheted.

I chose my shop title as a tribute to the state I grew up in, "where the tall corn grows." Since then, I've lived in six other states and another country, but I'll always be an Iowan at heart. If you want to think of it as Iowana: the art, though, that's fine with me!

Thanks, Mom, for teaching me how to knit and crochet. Thanks to my wonderful husband for encouraging my yarn buying habit. Thanks to my aunt who asked me when I was going to start selling my creations. Without you three, there would be no Iowanatheart shop.
