Ivy Street in the Village of Spry was my childhood home and where I started to sew. What I learned by sewing most of my clothes throughout my school years and beyond has carried over into creating and sewing lampshades.
On Ivy Street the sewing machine was in front of a window overlooking the backyard. Often I would put my sewing down and get caught up in a daydream as I gazed out the window. Today my sewing room is 800 miles away from Ivy Street, but it is still by a window, and I still daydream.
