About

I am an aspring glass artist currently making flameworked beads and fused glass art. I enjoy incorporating my bead creations into unique jewelry items, such as the ones that I have listed here. I also make mobiles with my fused glass pieces. The mobiles are each, also unique, and amazingly beautiful to watch as they dance in a light breeze on a sunny day.

I have been known as a painter to those who know me. From time to time, I still enjoy painting just about anything that will take paint. Possible glass in the future.

I became fascinated by glass as a child. I grew up on a homesteaded ranch in California. The antique glass in the ranch house was not smooth or completely clear as we know glass today. I remember spending hours studying the tiny bubbles and imperfections in those antique glass panes. As I grew a little…

As I grew a little older, I had the opportunity to see a flameworker making small glass sculptures at an amusement park. That, too, was incredibly fascinating to me. I never had the opportunity to work with glass until a few years ago when I purchased a small kiln and began cutting and fusing glass items. The fused artglass items sort of evolved into the mobiles and other hangings as I learned more about how the glass moves when heated in a kiln.

I still have a great deal to learn about beadmaking, but do enjoy practicing when I have time. I have been making beads for about two years now. I am a self-taught beadmaker, but would love to participate in a beadmaking class when I have the opportunity to do so. I hope to learn more about flameworking and possible work into glassblowing as time allows. My ultimate goal is to learn to blow glass well enough to make goblets and large vessels at some point in the future. I know that I have a great deal to learn, but it does give me a goal to achieve in the future.
