Jenawa Ford has always appreciated beautiful jewelry. She quickly fell in love with the art of jewelry-making when she began the study at the age of 16. The ability to design and form her own jewelry seemed then like magic to her. A few years later she began formal training at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she graduated with a degree in jewelry design. Jenawa went on to study with skilled jewelers from around the world in their private studios, and later discovered the Jewelry Arts Institute in NYC where she advanced her practice, immersing herself in classical techniques of ancient Greece and Rome. She continues to be inspired by an ever-growing array of sources and to build upon her skill set with the guidance of some of New York City’s most talented designers.
