About

Since I was a little girl I have been obsessed with making "things"! It's so exciting to start a project from scratch then finish and end up with something that one can use, enjoy, admire and love!

I was always intrigued with pottery. The shapes, designs and colors. Taking a ball of clay, throwing it on a wheel with water and shaping it in to pot, bowl, vase, etc. is such an amazing craft! So, a few years ago I began throwing clay and it is more wonderful than I expected! I hand throw and hand build with different types of clay and hand pour liquid clay (slip) in to molds to make pottery for you, your home, and office and for friends and family.

I only use lead free, non-toxic clay and glazes so all my pieces can be used for food, put in the oven and microwave. Of course you will want to display my pieces also. I only…

I only make one of a kind pottery, using a rainbow of colors to make each a unique piece.

Needle felting! It is one of the most ancient crafts and one of my favorites. Needle felting has become part of my life. It is so challenging and exciting to take wool batting or roving and start poking with a needle and end up with something as beautiful as a felted hat, bird or other animal. I have multiple sclerosis and have found that felting is very therapeutic!

Bottles, I love bottles with different shapes and colors I experimented a while ago by putting them in my kiln and now make beautiful wall hangings, cheese boards and more “ things” from them. There will be several of these items in my Etsy Shop.

I made a bracelet for myself with glass beads a while ago and then one for a friend and then another friend; so making jewelry is another craft that I enjoy.

Vintage items. It is amazing how they can fit in to almost any environment. Combining "old" with new adds a nice touch to any decor. Vintage dishes, vases and brooches to mention a few, are fun to collect and enjoy.

And, I have always loved pussy willows and cattails. Going for ride when the snow begins to melt it is one of my most enduring spring rites – picking pussy willows! We go for a ride and all of sudden, lo and behold! Pussy willows greet us. We prune off a few branches filled with furry pussy willows, to be brought home, put in a vase and delight in Spring’s arrival. With my love for all flowers I hope to offer dried and artificial floral arrangements in my shop.

And cattails. One year my parents went away and when they returned had brought gifts for everyone. They told me that they left mine in the car. When I opened up the door there was a pile of cattails. They were my gift.

Since then I learned that the meaning of cattails is “peace and prosperity”, and, so, with this I wish all of you peace and prosperity and hope you come shop with me. When you do, think of not only the beauty but also the lessons and love behind making each of my items.

Thank you for shopping with me!
