Jacqueline Kolbe has worked at perfecting her art as a Milliner for the last 23 years. Her interest in Millinery was sparked while living in London, where she produced a range of hand-painted hats which she wholesaled to Harrods of Knightsbridge, Fenwick’s of Bond Street as well as other reputable British retailers.

In 1996 Jacqueline returned to South Africa, where she worked as a Millinery Designer at two Cape Town based Hat factories. After perfecting her craft even further she entered the Film and TV industry as a Wardrobe Stylist where she was asked to produce the hats and headwear for various films such as, Long Walk To Freedom, Story Of An African Farm, Discovery Channel ‘ History Of The Word, King Solomon’s Mines, just to name a few.

In 2004, Jacqueline wrote an EBook, “How To Create Your Own Fabulous Fascinators and Creative Cocktail Hats”, which she has internationally sold over the internet, and continues to do so. In 2008 Jacqueline began teaching Millinery to private students at her Millinery Studio in Cape Town.

In March 2011 and 2012, Jacqueline was invited to Dubai, as a participant and one of seven International Milliners to exhibit at the Millinery Exhibition, being held at The Burjuman Department Store, prior to The World Cup Horse Race.
In June 2012 The Jacqueline Kolbe Millinery hat shop opened in Cape Town, where Jacqueline offers South African citizens and International Tourists the opportunity of Bespoke Millinery and Tailored Headwear.

In April 2013 Jacqueline will be travelling to Taiwan, where she has been invited to teach a two week millinery course at the Fashion Department of The Shih Chien University, in Taipei, Taiwan.
