Jan Rose's Profile

About

Welcome to my shop, JRoseWorksJewelry.etsy.com! My name is Jan and I have been creating and selling one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry in my home studio for over eight years with my business name, Roseworks Jewelry. My Etsy shop name is a slight variation on that.

I live on an acreage in the country 5 miles/8K from our city center in the middle of beautiful British Columbia with my husband, our dog and cat, and a lot of white rabbits visiting from our neighbour!

Designing and creating beautiful things is my passion and when not making jewelry, I often have complex knitting and needlework projects on the go . I feel it is important (and good for the soul!) to be surrounded by beauty whatever your definition of that is.

I work mainly with sterling silver and copper, semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. My large collection of the infinite variety of shapes, colors, and textures always provides me with inspiration.

The art and craft of making jewelry is always intriguing and exciting and I relish the challenge of constantly developing new skills and styles.

I welcome the shared experience of making a custom piece of jewelry that is uniquely yours. One of the best compliments a customer can give me is when they say, “Oh, that’s me!” Please contact me with any ideas or suggestions you might have using the Contact button on my shop’s Home Page.
