Denise Goodale the owner of Jacmel Bay is also the mother of Gwenn Mangine who fpr six and half years operated the Joy in Hope Children's Home in Jacmel, Haiti with her husband Nick. these children call Denise "Mommy Nana". The children take family walks on the shore of Jacmel Bay and help collect the sea glass for Jacmel Bay projects. After her daughter and her family returned to the states Olive Tree Projects have taken over the operations of running the family style foster home. Denise travels to Haiti at least twice a year where she also works with a group of deaf young adults teaching them the art of sea glass and helping them to earn a living selling their art. Twenty-five percent of all profits from Jacmel Bay sales is dontated to the ongoing work of Olive Tree Projects in Jacmel, Haiti.
