About

I think the first time anyone picks up a barbed needle and pokes at the wool they are hooked. And the adventure begins. It almost seems magical to take a flat piece of wool and needle it into the shape you want. I especially like to create baby animals. Something about the innocence in their expression. As a young girl I loved to look at the clouds and find animals lurking about. And the artist was born. I still use that process, but now I use fiber. I can take a handful of of a beautiful fiber and just start needling it. Before long, I see very well what it wants to be. Some of my finest pieces come from that process.

I worked as a graphic artist in the printing industry for 13 years. My art education came by way of the University of West Virginia. I am also a published artist.

The question most often asked is what is needle felting? I think there are many misconceptions on what the process is. For me, it is the creation of fine art soft sculptures created from many different types of wool.

You can pick a piece just because it makes you happy or you can request a specific piece be created just for you that has meaning. Many want the family pet created in wool as a tribute. A forever piece to always remind us of the joy we had over the years.

Each piece is handmade and truly one of a kind art. No two can ever be identical.

I don't use artificial parts. The eyes on my pieces take a lot of time, but are very realistic. Wool allows me to control the expression in the eyes of my pieces, not something that can be done with glass or plastic eyes. As has been often quoted, "The eyes are the windows to the soul."

No gimmicks! Just a professional, art sculpture that you can show with pride, sculpted by a professional artist. You will always receive a quality product with a full return guarantee.

Many of my items have been honored by being on Etsy's front page and my items have been featured in over 2600 treasuries. I'm a featured designer for Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Crafts Magazine. My work has shown and sold in Artsprings Art Gallery in Maryland. My Christmas ornaments are featured in Gift Shops and I have pieces in many fine homes in the USA, as well as abroad.

I have a second shop that can be seen at:http://www.etsy.com/shop/ItsEverythingElse?ref=si_shop

I hope you enjoy looking as much as I've enjoyed creating. Sales are nice and so appreciated, but it's not always about the sale, it's about the journey.
