hello, it's me, doing what i love best . . . sewing, laughing, cooking, singing, organizing, reading, dreaming, talking, creating, eating, baking, stitching, planning, hoping, and loving life. in the words of my grandson...making, always making.
i learned to sew in 1972 or 73 in home ec. i loved it instantly. my ma gave me the sewing machine that she had been using since the early 50's. i loved that old singer sewing machine. i was able to use it to make clothes for my kids. it served me well until the early 80's when my son thought it would be great fun to dismantle that old machine.
clever little monkey, that one.
i come from a large family. i am the 7th of 8 kids...you could say i am the 7th stitch in the tapestry i call family. 'waste not, want not' was a mantra around our place. oh yes,…
