About

I was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, with a strong European influence. I began painting as a form of expression, and then tried my hand at pottery while living in the Netherlands. Through my travels and love of creative, unique jewellery, I eventually explored creating it myself.

Many pieces have an earthy feel, but also an elegance that allows you to wear these pieces as a casual every day piece or a swanky night out!

Most of the pieces I create are inspired by nature, which one can see in the raw types of turquoise and stone that is used. Every stone is one-of-a-kind, though some may look similar only because they have been cut from the same slab.

The raw and natural form of the stones is meant to not only connect you to nature, but to bring you the healing properties of each stone. For example, turquoise, a stone used most in my pieces, has been known to heal and detoxify the whole body, as well as heal mentally. Turquoise is also said to open all chakras, which allows the stone’s powers of love and communication to flow through you.

I have also been exploring the world of metals in a silversmithing class that I have been taking since fall 2008. I work with copper, brass, silver, and gold.

I have been featured in The Edmonton Sun’s 24 Hours section, as a new jewellery artist in Edmonton, as well as a nationwide Christian newspaper, Christian Week. I have sold my wares at Natur'el in Banff, Alberta (2008/09), and I have sold in markets across Alberta and British Columbia, and keep my Etsy website running all year.
