Hi my name is Jessica, I am the creator of all you see here. I live in beautiful Wasilla Alaska with my husband and animals. I am a lifelong Alaskan and have always lived in and felt a close connection with nature. I make everything in my shop by hand down to every jumpring and component. The exceptions are some of the fine chains and small clasps. I care a lot about quality and I feel that my work is a reflection of myself. I'm also a bit of a purist in that I want to know what things are made…

I'm also a bit of a purist in that I want to know what things are made of, I only work in pure metals, no plated or filled materials, it's just my style, and the way I try to live. Most of the gemstones you will find in my shop are natural stones, with a few cubic zirconium and glass beads here and there.

I have a hard time defining things about myself because I feel that by defining things they suddenly become limited. Like the concept of god. I don't like to answer to a political or religious affiliation for that reason, suddenly people think they know you. I would rather show who I am by what I do, and how I choose to live my life.

When I create I think about the person who might be wearing the piece someday, I think about why they would like the piece and what it might say about them, why it would speak to them. I am inspired by basic concepts and facets of humanity and psychology, by characters and personalities that I meet, and by my feelings about them. I like to think about the way we feel about colors, textures, and shapes, and how they make us feel. How in certain combination they can tell a story, why when we wear them it makes us feel differently about ourselves. I care not only about the piece itself but how it feels and looks on, I try to create jewelry that is not only beautiful by itself, but compliments the body. I like to look at things in the world and think about how they make a person feel, why? What combination of things creates that feeling? It is possible to take that feeling and transfer it into a wearable piece of art. Many times that is how pieces are made. Some are just happy accidents that happen when I have a mess on my bench and there is a pile of gemstones and pieces of metal that go together to form something amazing. It's like looking into the sky and seeing shapes in the clouds. Yep, I am the person who romanticizes the mess on my bench, lol.
