When I view people I enjoy getting a sense of who they are through the clothes and accessories they choose to wear and the way they wear them. I particularly marvel at pieces on a person that really stand out and command my gaze for more than a couple of seconds. I feel that way about the type of jewelry I am most fond of creating. While I do simple as well, I am most entranced by the bold, make a statement pieces, and they are the ones that I wake up in the night thinking about creating.

I live a few strides south of one of the horse racing capitals of our country – Saratoga Springs, NY. I live a few strides south of one of the horse racing capitals of our country – Saratoga Springs, NY. Inspiration is abundant in this area between the hoards of summertime tourists, architecture dating back to the revolutionary war, the rivers, lakes, and the fantastic Adirondacks. I let different moments of every day inspire and drive me to create.

I like to credit my Grandpa for my artistic background. He encouraged me to draw and express myself, and was the person who sat with me when I was a child and watched seemingly endless hours of “The Joy of Painting” which we thoroughly enjoyed together. If he were still walking this earth today I know he’d be my biggest cheerleader. He still is anyway.

I have a workspace at my home that my husband graciously allotted just for me. He is very supportive and loves to see me pursuing my dream. Captain, my German Shepherd mix, and Tinkerbell, my kitty whom we bottle fed and raised from 2 weeks of age, frequently co-inhabit this space of mine. They are generally very respectful of my things, except for the trash bin. Tink seems to believe it is fair game since the items have been discarded by me and I therefore must not mind when they end up strewn about the rug.

Along side designing jewelry I also like to spend my time walking Captain with his goofy Labrador friends, watching scary movies with my husband, having “girly” time with my best friends, just being in the presence of my family, and taking photos of everything.
