How do you sum yourself up in a couple of paragraphs? From Wharton's business school to 15 years of stress on Wall Street to a second career as a Rollerblading instructor and adventure travel guide...to jewelry maker! That's me in a nutshell, I guess.

I made my first piece of jewelry - a simple stretchy bracelet - after finding myself irresistably drawn to the beautiful strings of beads on display in a craft store. It was love at first bracelet! Soon I was taking classes at my local bead shop and devouring everything I could find on the web and in the bookstores about jewelry making.

I started making pieces to match my favorite sun dresses, then other outfits, right down to bracelets and earrings to go with individual T-shirts! When I ran out of clothes, I faced a choice - either go buy more clothes or start making jewelry for others. Since I actually like making jewelry more than I like shopping (can you believe it?) here I am!

My goal is to make colorful, fun jewelry at a GREAT price - so you can do what I've done and have something to match every outfit if you want! To keep costs low I shop meticulously, buy beautiful beads in large quantities and deliberately don't send out my pieces in fancy gift boxes with four color customized business cards.

I love doing this so much, and really, really want you to be delighted with the quality and VALUE you get with Jewelry Confections!

Oh, by the way, the name "Jewelry Confections" is a nod to my Dad who is a chef. And I would be terribly remiss if I didn't also acknowledge my wonderful husband, Pete, who puts up with beads all over the house with nary a complaint, provides technical support with the computer and camera and even builds all my jewelry/craft show displays. What a guy!

Thanks for reading my profile and may you find your perfect treasure on Etsy today!
