Always fascinated by crafting, and I love playing with color, form and texture. As a young artist I often gave away my best creations to people I love.

As a schoolgirl I sewed lots l of my own clothing. My doodles were sketches of the people around me (classroom boredom!). I tried my hand at oil painting. By Grandma's example, I knit or crocheted many items - baby blankets, afghans, sweaters and scarves, hats etc. When Dad would take his large family on a vacation to South Dakota where he was born the souvenir I wanted was the cardboard display with different little rock samples and their names.

Grandpa so liked the V-neck cardigan with cable stitches and pockets that I made for my high school sweetheart, he asked me to knit one for him, too. I took Grandpa to pick out the yarn -- and he picks fingering yarn, the kind you use to make socks!! Little, tiny, tiny stitches!! LOL Fifty years later I still treasure that sweater and pictures of him wearing it. I remember Grandpa and smile whenever I take it out.

When I went away to college and no longer had Mom's sewing machine available I put together a nice, lined wool sport jacket for myself, sewing it by hand.

The creations I offer are all my original designs - and most are One Of A Kind. Take a look, purchase your favorites and enjoy! Like me on Facebook, mention me on Twitter and spread the word about Jimmaree, my shop. It is wonderful to have you here.
