I first learned to crochet when I was twelve, but I didn't get far. Just far enough to crochet some "shoe strings" for my 6th grade teacher, Ms. Darwin. Over the years I tried on & off to pick it up, but it wasn't until I was about thirty that it finally clicked.
My first sales came from a charity fundraiser for World AIDS Day to benefit the Patient Assistance Fund at the clinic I was working in. Since then I have sold to friends, family, & other locals, & at artist markets & craft fairs, as well as participated in other charity work for a variety of causes.
I crochet to relax & have an excuse for buying yarn. I also like to try my hand at jewelry making & origami, so you'll see those items in my shop as well.
