About

I am a happily married mother of two very active boys (ages 9 & 6). When I am not busy working, going from doctors appointments to baseball games or checking homework, I truly enjoy "crafting".

I've always enjoyed crafting and making things for my family and friends, but have never tried to sell the things I've made (although I've always wanted to!). My dream has always been to open my own shop. I have created things using an array of mediums, from wood burning to custom invitations to now mainly polymer clay. I've finally decided to give my shop idea a push start.

My inspiration for finally putting my work out there comes from my entire family, but there are two people in particular (besides my husband and children) who I am dedicating this to - my mother and my nephew Daniel! Daniel was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis over 10 years ago. He is now almost 12 years old and is thankfully doing well. Before my mother passed, she had wanted to open a non-profit store with all proceeds going towards the research for finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. In light of this, I finally decided that it was time for me to follow my dream as well as that of my mother's. In honor of my mother and Daniel, a percentage of all purchases made from Joyous Ventures is going to go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
