About

Hello, my name is Judy. I discovered Polymer Clay back in 2004 and was immediately hooked. The more I learn the more I realize how much more there is still to learn and discover! The possibilities are endless and I find that so exciting.

My tastes vary widely. I love to create whimsical characters and OOAK sculptures and custom orders are always welcome. I find it exciting to take someone's idea and interpret it in clay. Adding little personal details that truly customize it to each individual.

I love color! All kinds of color. From soft and subtle to bold and vibrant. That is probably why I am also addicted to making OOAK custom beads since they all begin with color.

In the beginning I tried to keep track of how I created the colors but it never failed, I would get so excited with the colors that were emerging that at some point I completely forgot to keep writing it down. At first it frustrated me but then I thought, 'this is a good thing'. I might never be able to accurately create a color again, but that just makes the beads they turn into all the more unique.

Shapes also inspire me but I must admit that I find it the most difficult part of creating beads. Sometimes I have a wonderful blend of colors and absolutely no idea what to do with them. Since I don't make recipes I am limited in the amount of those custom colors I have to work with. The idea of 'wasting' those OOAK colors can leave me indecisive which is frustrating. Patience isn't one of my strong suits but I have found if I try and force an idea to come before it is ready I won't be happy with the results and I just end up adding to my scrap pile.

I work in a smoke free environment. Go Me! I quit smoking 2 weeks after my fathers' triple bi-pass and have been nicotine free since September 17, 2006. My home is not pet free but my furbaby is a non-shedding tea cup poodle named Gracie who by the way has her grown up (human) brother completely wrapped around her little paw.

All my work is created by me with a strong attention to detail. While some pieces may appear similar, each item is individually hand formed and no two will be exactly alike.

Whether you buy or simply browse, I hope my artistic endeavors bring you as much joy as they brought me during their creation.
