Julia Trigg's Profile

About

I am an artist living in Brighton, England and studied at the Royal College of Art in London. I love and collect all kinds of typography based ephemera, which I use in my collages. I couldn’t bear to tear up the original ephemera, so by working digitally I am able to scan items and do whatever I like. This means I can be experimental with colour, scale, texture and composition, creating lively, graphic prints.

My work is available as signed Giclée prints on archive quality paper, using Epson pigment inks, mostly as limited editions. I am passionate about print quality and print everything myself, so the detail and colouring are always exactly as intended. Believe me, I am a perfectionist...

RECENT EXHIBITIONS & PR
My work appears on numerous well renowned art and design blogs and in various magazines, (most recently Uppercase in January 2014) helping prints find their way to private collections both in the UK and internationally. My work is represented by the Liberty Gallery at prestigious art fairs including the Hampstead Affordable Art Fair & the Royal College of Art 20/21 show in London. Other exhibitions include local galleries such as Castor & Pollux and Unlimited in Brighton, to as far away as ‘Mind The Gap’ – an exhibition of British collage art in South Korea from July - Oct 2013 (where my work sold out). I also regularly take part in the Artists Open House Festivals in Brighton. Some of my prints are licensed as greetings cards to ArtPress, who distribute internationally.
