About

My great-grandmother, Julia, bought lots of jewelry during the 1940's and 1950's. It wasn't until she passed away (now 25 years ago) that my grandfather learned of the collection of jewels my great-grandmother had. I remember after she passed away, my grandpa allowed me to choose one piece of jewelry from her estate. It was beautiful, mysterious, and precious in my little hands. I wore it to feel connected to my great-grandmother, to feel connected to her story - to history!
As I myself now have a love of jewelry and have shopped the popular jewelry "clubs", I realized that many of the new pieces I have seen labeled "vintage-style" look exactly like most of what my great grandmother Julia had left in her estate. I am a stay at home mother of two small children and have been searching for a creative outlet and also a way to supplement our family's income. My grandfather has been hoping to sell these items for years, but didn't really have the knowledge or access to online communities such as Etsy to do so. He has entrusted me with selling my great grandmother's collection and I am honored to be able to offer them to you.
I will also be selling some of my own creations of crochet children's hats with vintage embellishments. Stay tuned for those in fall 2012!
