About

I'm the Junkyard Gypsy and I'm an addict and have an obsessive-compulsive disorder - I cannot keep my hand down at an estate auction, no matter how hard I try. I see all of these lovely treasures that are screaming my name, and I cannot control myself - they simply must go home with me. But at the same time, I'm not a hoarder, and find myself with no place to put them all. So... Etsy to the rescue - my obsession becomes your great find. I just love to scavenge for odd parts and pieces, and most of all love saving stuff from the landfill. Almost anything can be given new life.

If you happen to be in the North Carolina area, my collections may also be seen in person at the Albemarle Marketplace, in Albemarle, NC. There I sell some of my larger pieces that are too big to ship, fragile items, as well as some hand-painted signs and assemblage art…

There I sell some of my larger pieces that are too big to ship, fragile items, as well as some hand-painted signs and assemblage art.

If you're a details person....I'm married, 2 grown children, a 4 year old grandson who I'm totally in love with, a dog, a cat, a goat, some chickens, a bird sanctuary, and a water garden full of fish. We have a non-smoking home. After 20+ years I left the corporate rat-race to join my husband in his boat manufacturing business (www.creekboats.com).

And for the boring (but very important) stuff: If you would like to purchase one of my items, the following policies are in place:

1) Please kindly remit payment within 3 days. I accept PayPal, money order, or personal check (though a personal check must clear before I can ship your item).

2) I will try my very hardest to ship your item the next business day after receiving your payment. I normally ship via USPS Priority Mail (unless it's a very small, lightweight item that would be less expensive to ship first class). I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage incurred by the postal service - if you wish to insure against these losses, please purchase optional shipping insurance. Occasionally large items are significantly less expensive to ship via UPS Ground, and will be shipped that way if I can save you money on shipping. If I'm going to be out of town or anything like that, I will post it in my "shop announcements", so that you know why I didn't ship immediately or answer a convo promptly.

3) If you are unsatisfied with your purchase from my shop, please convo me. I work hard to satisfy my customers. Returns are allowed if there is no other resolution to the issue at hand.

4) These pieces vary a lot in weight, and shipping costs will vary based on what state or country you are in. Please take note that JunkyardGypsy isn't responsible for any duties or customs fees, they are the sole responsibility of the buyer. If at time of shipping I discover I have overcharged on shipping by more than one dollar, I will refund the difference.

5) All prices listed are in U.S. dollars, and measurements are in U.S. terms.

Thank you!!!
