Kathy J's Profile
I began making jewelry in 2003 after growing tired of seeing the same jewelry in department stores, started purchasing from jewelry artists, and then making my own - but didn't stop there!
I have made jewelry for weddings and special gifts and have designed and developed several custom pieces, often with just a few color or stone selections and a measurement or two. I constantly search for unique and quality gemstones, which I hand-select, and pair them with hand-crafted silver precious metal clay (PMC) formations. When fired, PMC becomes pure silver and is fun to shape or mold into focal pieces. I also wire-wrap stones and incorporate old (out of commission) foreign coins and pieces of scrap copper into my work; they have been very popular and sell as fast as they are made.
