Wecome to Mary's Garden!

Hello from central Kansas! My name is Kelly and I am the designer and creator for Mary's Garden. I live in the country with my husband and two handsome boys.

I strive to make rosaries that are functional as well as beautiful. I believe that for a rosary to be used as it is meant - in daily prayer - it should be durable, practical, easy to use and convenient to carry. And, of course, it should be something that inspires you! Occassionally my creativity gets the better of me and I make a rosary that is better suited for a display, but on the whole I create rosaries that are intended to be used :).

I began creating handcrafted rosaries and jewelry about 10 years ago. I was looking for unique rosaries to give as gifts and after having some trouble finding things I liked, I decided to try to make them myself. Once I made that step there was no going back, I was hooked! And I very quickly moved onto handcrafted jewelry. What started as a hobby has now grown into Mary's Garden.

I enjoy using all kinds of materials in my work, though my favorites are sterling silver, bronze, gemstones and Czech glass. I try to have a little something for everyone.

But if you don't see something you are looking for, I also take custom orders. If it's within my ability, I'll make it for you!

I want you to feel comfortable shopping with Mary's Garden. I do my best to take pictures and write descriptions that accurately portray the item for sale. Any color or stone names I use in my descriptions are those of the manufacturer, or I will state if the description is my own. I am an amature photographer at best, but I still make every attempt to provide a picture that is accurate. Please bear in mind that different monitors may show colors differently. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask!

On February 10,2009, the new federal law, Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) took effect. In a nutshell, this law sets new, stricter, guidlines for limits of lead and other toxins in products for children. Any person or company that sells products for children age 12 and younger must abide by these guidelines. For jewelry manufacturers, each product must be tested by a 3rd party labratory to provide certification that the product is within those guidlines. And I must assume that rosaries would fall into the jewelry catagory. Because this testing is expensive and destructive, I am unable to have my products - which are only made one at a time - tested. So, my products listed here are NOT compliant with the CPSIA and so are intended general use for adults and children over the age of 13.

Thank you for visiting!
