Growing up in a "crafty" family, I have tried just about everything artsy you can imagine. From learning to embroider when I was five, to working in a ceramic shop and doing porcelain dolls with my mom in my late teens, to discovering a love of crochet in my early thirties and Zentangle more recently, my experiments have been wide and varied.

But when I discovered polymer clay 14 years ago, I was in love. It's the first craft that I have stuck with more or less consistently since the day I discovered the versatility and endless possibility of the medium. Most of my work is inspired by nature, whether in form, choice of colors or just enjoying a fresh breeze through my studio window while it is made.

But when I discovered polymer clay 14 years ago, I was in love. It's the first craft that I have stuck with more or less consistently since the day I discovered the versatility and endless possibility of the medium. Most of my work is inspired by nature, whether in form, choice of colors or just enjoying a fresh breeze through my studio window while it is made.

My other love is teaching and in the last year or so, I began teaching polymer clay to the kids in our local homeschool group. It has been an incredible experience that has made me a better artist as I work with kids who are completely uninhibited in their own pursuit of art.
